Neon Savings Check keeps your receipts on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and we (the app maker) never receive your receipts, photos, or savings.
Receipt photos you choose (a smaller copy), the text read from them, the deals you type in or save from store website screenshots, and your settings. All of it is stored only on your device, inside the app. Deleting the app, or tapping "Delete all my data" in Settings, erases it.
The app uses the camera and the photo picker only when you tap a button to scan a receipt or add a deal screenshot. It sees only the photos you pick.
Text is read on your phone. On iPhone the app uses Apple's built-in text recognition (Vision), which runs entirely on the device and sends nothing. On Android it uses Google ML Kit text recognition, which also reads the photo entirely on the device: your photos and the text in them are never sent to Google or anyone else.
On Android, Google ML Kit sends Google basic diagnostic information about how the text reader is working: device model and Android version, the app name and version, a random per-installation identifier (not your name, account, or advertising ID), performance numbers such as how long a read took, image size and format, and error codes. Google uses this to measure, fix and improve ML Kit, under the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). It does not include your photos, receipt text, or savings. The iPhone app does not include ML Kit.
On Android, the phone's own backup to your Google account (and a phone-to-phone transfer) includes your receipts, deals and settings so they come back on a new phone, but NOT the receipt photos: photos stay only on the phone. On iPhone, your normal iCloud or computer backup includes the app's data, photos too. To move photos to a new phone, make a backup file in Settings and choose "With photos". That file goes only where you choose to save or send it.
We do not sell or share any data. When you export a spreadsheet or a backup file, the file goes only where you choose to send it.
You can delete any receipt or deal, or tap "Delete all my data" in Settings to erase everything the app stored. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we collect no personal information from anyone.
